- Opération chimique consistant à incorporer un agent vulcanisant (soufre, le plus souvent) à un élastomère brut pour former, après cuisson, des ponts entre les chaînes moléculaires. Cette opération rend notamment le matériau moins plastique mais plus élastique. (d'après wikipédia)
