- The Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units is a global network of domestic financial intelligence units that aims to expand and systematize international cooperation in the fight against money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes. Established in 1995 as an informal forum, the Egmont Group was named after the Egmont-Arenberg Palace in Brussels, where the first meeting was held.
