  • The consent-once-removed doctrine (CORD) is the doctrine that permits police to enter premises without a warrant when they are summoned by an undercover police officer or informant who reports having seen incriminating evidence in plain view (evidence in plain sight that does not require police to obtain a search warrant) or having participated in an illegal transactions, such as a drug buy.
