- Dolly Lee Butler (1892–1981) was a successful female attorney best known in legal circles for successfully arguing Rochin v. California (1952)—with assistance from noted ACLU lawyer Al Wirin—before the U.S. Supreme Court. Born in 1893 in Omaha, Nebraska, Butler graduated from Southwestern University.
