  • SOFT TISSUE SARCOMAS are tumors that originate from the mesenchymal tissue, which is tissue on the body that derives from embryonic cells of mesodermal origin that are capable of developing into connective tissues, blood, and lymphatic and blood vessels. Soft tissue sarcomas account for 7 percent of all childhood tumors and can be divided into two groups, rhabdomyosarcomas and nonrhabdomyosarcoma soft tissue sarcoma (NRSTS).
