product tampering

Definición

  • Product tampering is the deliberate contamination of a good after it has been marketed, often occurring at the point of sale or, in the case of a hoax, after the point of sale. Examples of foreign substances that have been used in product tampering include bugs, cyanide, illegal drugs, needles, mice, liquid mercury, glass, and syringes; these, and even a human finger, have all turned up in a wide range of products.
