National Treatment Improvement Evaluation Study

Definición

  • The National Treatment Improvement Evaluation Study (NTIES) was a congressionally mandated 5-year evaluation of the effectiveness of substance abuse treatment services delivered in comprehensive treatment demonstration programs supported by the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT). The demonstration programs (Target Cities, Critical Populations, and Incarcerated and Non-incarcerated Criminal Justice Programs) provided treatment services to underserved and vulnerable populations whose drug problems tend to be more severe and who have few social supports to help in their recovery.
