  • The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, also known by its acronym, MALDEF, is a nonprofit organization that has been providing Latinos with legal assistance and advocacy since its inception in 1968. In addition to litigation, MALDEF empowers Latinos through educational outreach programs that build skills and train individuals to participate in their communities as leaders and advocates.
