Definición

  • The modern version of the Free School Movement, which began in the 1960s, was an effort at educational reform, and to some extent dissent, motivated by the perceived failure of the public school system to meet the needs of children. In many instances, it related to children of the minority poor in urban settings. [Source: Encyclopedia of Educational Reform and Dissent; Free School Movement]
