Aldo Leopold

- Aldo Leopold (1887–1948) was one of America's preeminent environmentalists and a pioneer in developing the fields of wildlife management and environmental ethics. Born in Burlington, Iowa, Leopold studied forestry at Yale University and worked for the U.S. Forest Service before becoming a professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Wisconsin in 1933.
