access to justice

Definición

  • Access to justice refers to the ability to receive, mobilize for, and be informed about social practices and procedures that reinforce certain ideals of accountability, fairness, equality, civil liberties, and human rights. The concept of justice presumes that there is at least a minimally agreed upon moral and/or legal code that affords the opportunity to seek redress when individuals or groups have been victimized (whether through physical or social hostilities and marginalization).
