Definición

  • The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is the federal agency within the Department of Labor charged with regulating coal, metal, and nonmetal mining operations in the United States. Mining has always been one of the most hazardous occupations in the United States, and throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, it was not uncommon for more than 1,000 miners to die in any given year.
