Definición

  • The American Health Planning Association (AHPA) is a national organization whose members are agencies and individuals engaged in some aspect of the broad and sometimes controversial field of health planning and capacity regulation, such as Certificate of Need (CON). Since its founding in 1971 (as the American Association of Comprehensive Health Planning, and it changed its name to the present in 1977), the membership, focus, and activities of the association have shifted, reflecting the changing scope and role of health planning in the United States.
