Man, Play and Games (study)

Definición

  • Roger Caillois (1913–78) was a French sociologist and philosopher, whose study Man, Play and Games has, since first appearing in 1958, greatly contributed to the understanding of the relationships among play, games and culture. For Caillois, playing is a central trait of all cultures, which is why their values, customs, and beliefs are expressed in the games they play.
