Hispanic American health

Definición

  • In the past two decades, epidemiological research has examined the so-called Hispanic paradox, wherein the Hispanic American population displays a level of population health above what would be expected, given its socioeconomically disadvantaged position. A Hispanic American advantage has been observed using mortality and morbidity data, and a number of plausible hypotheses are being tested in the epidemiological and medical sociological literatures.
