Definición
- Although psychologists and linguists have traditionally viewed and studied bilingualism as an individual's ability to speak two or more languages, it is also important to understand bilingual's social dimensions. The latter is a focus on the uses and functions, statuses, and relationships of two or more languages within a society. [Source: Encyclopedia of Bilingual Education; Social Bilingualism]
