  • In the history of modern philosophy, the period known as German Idealism refers primarily to the thinking of Johann Gottlieb Fichte (1762–1849), Friedrich Wilhelm Schelling (1775–1854), and Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770–1831).
