Definición

  • The Indian Removal Act of 1830 authorized the president of the United States to exchange unorganized land west of the Mississippi River for Indianheld land within existing states and territories. The act granted Indians perpetual title to the western land and compensated Indians for improvements made to the exchanged land in the east.
