political spin
Definición
- Political spin is the practice of deceptively publicizing favorable interpretations to explain politicians' words or actions and to create a desirable impression of them, or to explain the statements and actions of political entities, such as party organizations, interest groups, and political action committees. Research by E. M. Stark has shown that spin can make a losing candidate into an electoral victor; researchers Michael Norton and George Goethals found weaker but significant effects.
