school effects

Definición

  • Research on school effects addresses the overarching question of whether the school a student attends matters for that student's educational learning opportunities and outcomes. Commonly held beliefs suggest that the school a student attends makes a difference; however, early educational research found that the effects of schools on achievement were much smaller compared to student background characteristics.
