  • The Sedition Act of 1918 was a law that forbade the use of “disloyal, profane, scurrilous, or abusive language” about the U.S. government, its flag, or its armed forces from its signature by President Woodrow Wilson on May 16, 1918, through its repeal on March 3, 1921.
