labor force participation rates

Definición

  • The labor force participation rate (LFPR) is the number of working-aged people in a population who are either employed or unemployed and looking for work, divided by the total number of working-aged adults in a population. Said differently, it is the share of the population that is willing to supply labor to a market. [Source: Sociology of Work: An Encyclopedia; Labor Force Participation Rates]
