oligopoly

Definición

  • An oligopoly is an economic situation in which a small number of firms dominates the market for a product or service. Similar to a monopoly, where one firm dominates the economic market, and a duopoly, in which two firms dominate the market, an oligopoly occurs when a small group of companies collectively control a significant amount of the market share.
