  • The National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education (NAFEO) is the umbrella organization of the nation's 2- and 4-year historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and predominantly Black institutions (PBIs). Founded in 1969 by a group of HBCU presidents, NAFEO is “the voice for Blacks in higher education.” This entry looks at its program and accomplishments.
