Teacher Education Accreditation Council

Definición

  • Teacher education accreditation provides an incentive for program improvement, holds institutions accountable for the quality of their programs, and offers assurance that the programs produce knowledgeable, skilled, caring, and effective educators eligible for state certification. The Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) was founded in 1997 to improve professional preparation programs for those who work in schools by reframing accreditation in terms of inquiry, evidence, experimentation, and improvement.
