Trilateral Commission

Definition(s)

  • The Trilateral Commission is an organizational expression of trilateralism, which is an analysis of polarity, or power concentration, within the international system. Trilateralism is founded on two propositions: first, that the principal determinative form of power is now economic rather than military and, second, that the three poles of power are the United States, the European Union, and Japan.
