  • Harvey A. Schneider (1936-) made a successful argument in the Katz v. United States, 389 U.S. 347 (1967), case that extended the application of Fourth Amendment rights to include not only physical searches but also the monitoring of electronic media. After earning his bachelor of science degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1958, Schneider received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Law Center in 1963.
