conjugal visits

Definition(s)

  • Conjugal visits, sometimes referred to as family visits, are a privilege afforded to some married lower-security-risk inmates in a limited number of jurisdictions in only a handful of states. These programs allow spouses, and sometimes the couples' children, to visit for several hours at a time in complete privacy for the purpose of maintaining interpersonal relations.
