Preferred term
sibling violence
Definition(s)
- Sibling violence is the most common form of family violence, although less is known about its etiology and effective strategies for treatment and intervention than is the case for other family violence forms. The study of sibling violence has been neglected because such violence is difficult to research, in part due to its normalization in society.
