Definition(s)
- Archival data can be inclusively defined as information that is stored in some identifiable location for some substantial period and to which researchers can obtain access so as to carry out an investigation on a subject unrelated to the original rationale for preserving the data. The information can assume almost any form, including newspapers, magazines, diaries, letters, reports, photographs, drawings, carvings, music, advertisements, or film clips.
