- Human enhancement encompasses efforts to extend human health, longevity, and cognitive abilities beyond their current biological limits. Transhumanism is the Enlightenment-inspired doctrine that science can accomplish human enhancement and that individuals should be able to use technologies that allow them to live longer, healthier, and more enabled lives.
