Kingdom of Kush

- Kush is the name given to a period of Nubian history during which there were two successive capitals, Napata and Meroe. It is generally agreed that Kush extended from about 656 B.C.E. to about 642 C.E. Kush was located south of Egypt from Aswan to below Khartoum. [Source: Encyclopedia of Black Studies; Kush]
