  • Policy sciences concern the processes of decision making, policy formulation, and policy execution. Given the increasing complexity of modern civilization and globalization, policy sciences need to synthesize organization and law with the new technologies of decision making so that one can integrate knowledge and action.As early as 1951, in the general realm of social sciences, Harold Lasswell (1902–1978) and Daniel Lerner introduced the concept policy sciences and laid down its foundations.
