  • The theory of triadic influence (TTI) is one of the most integrative theories of health behavior (see Figure 1). It explains behavior as being the result of three streams of causes of behavior (intrapersonal, interpersonal, and sociocultural-environmental) that flow through several levels of causation (ultimate → distal → proximal).
