- The Association of Geographic Information Laboratories for Europe (AGILE) was established in early 1998 to ensure the continuation of the networking activities that have emerged as a result of the EGIS (Exhibition on Geographical Information Systems) Conferences and the European Science Foundation GISDATA Scientific Programmes. AGILE represents a community committed to promoting academic teaching and state-of-the-art research on advancing GI (geographic information) science.
