- Gender biases, prejudices, and discrimination within education are prevalent and have existed for centuries. In most countries, sexism is pervasive in literacy rates, staffing patterns, curricula and co-curricula offerings, teaching styles, school attainment, participation, and assessment methods that favor males over females.
