- Un moyen de spécifier le bruit généré comme un rayonnement électromagnétique indésirable dans un système récepteur ou l'un de ses composants. Il est généralement mesuré en termes de température équivalente dans un spectre de Rayleigh-Jeans. La température de bruit est principalement utilisée en radio-astronomie.
