- Une protubérance active très brillante sous la forme d'une boucle vue en Hα après une assez grande éruption. Également appelées «boucles post-éruptions», elles relient les pieds où les éruptions à deux rubans ont été vues. La durée de vie des protubérances à boucles est de plusieurs heures.
