- La thermosphère est la couche de l'atmosphère terrestre comprise entre la mésosphère (au-dessous) et l'exosphère (au-dessus). Sa limite inférieure, la mésopause, se situe à une altitude d'environ 95 km et sa limite supérieure, la thermopause, entre 500 et 1 000 km.
