- Une scintillation apparente des signaux provenant de sources radio ponctuelles distantes (pulsars). Elle est due à la turbulence, c'est-à-dire des fluctuations dans la densité électronique du gaz interstellaire ionisé, que les signaux ont traversé lors de leur progagation vers la Terre.
